22 Dec Quick and easy Spiced Apple Cake Recipe
A quick and easy recipe to satisfy your holiday cravings! This recipe serves 16, so be sure to adjust measurements accordingly!
Ingredients
- 2 ¾ cup AP flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¾ tsp salt
- 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice OR
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon, ½ tsp ground cloves, ¼ tsp anise, ½ tsp grated ginger
- 1 ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 ¼ cup yogurt
- 1 egg
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325˚F, grease a Bundt pan
- In a large bowl whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, and salt. Set aside
- In a separate bowl, mix applesauce and sugar. Add oil, then yogurt, then the egg, and then vanilla
- Gradually add dry mixture into applesauce mixture and stir until just combined
- Pour into greased pan
- Bake 50-60 mins, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
- Cool 10 mins
- Before turning it out, run a paring knife around the center circle to loosen it a bit
