Spring is here! A time for renewal, as the flowers are blooming, you may find your energy is too. The days are getting longer and the weather is warmer. Before we get all gitty about all things Spring, I want to take you back to January 1st. Take yourself there. Where were you? What were you doing? What hopes did you have for this year? Did you set a resolution or two? Well how’s that going for you? If you are on track with your resolutions and are killing it, congratulations. You are in the 7% of people who actually follow through with their resolutions. If you are in the other 93%, congratulations too. I know you are probably thinking, “What?!?”. When things don’t go as planned or intended, it’s an opportunity to look at why.

Since Spring is a time for renewal, renew those intentions you had on January 1st. This time you will do it differently. Look at what didn’t work. Were you over ambitious? Did you set yourself up for too much? At Eat 2 Perform we are all about baby steps.

This Spring, as you take a look at your health goals for the rest of the year, look at chunking them down. For example, if your goal is to walk 10,000 steps a day and you were only walking 1000. I can see why that didn’t work out well for you. 2000 steps a day would have been a great place to start and it’s actually double of what you use to do!

Renew your health this Spring with baby steps and come next January, your resolutions may be just another stepping stone on your journey to improving your health and not so much starting over again.
